Guruji - Indian Search Engine Launched

Guruji.com is India's first internet search engine and a technology solution aimed at meeting the ever growing search needs of Indian consumers.

IIT/IISc graduates are behind Guruji.com
is being funded by Sequia India.

Sequoia provided venture capital for Google, Yahoo!, Paypal, Electronic Arts, YouTube, Ometric, Insider Pages and was one of the first investors in Cisco Systems, Oracle and Apple. Around 10% of the value of NASDAQ is made up of firms funded by Sequoia.[1]

Sequoia had made a good amount of money when Google agreed to buy YouTube for $1.65B. It is believed that Sequoia's $11M investment translated to 30% of the ownership.
