Tata Motors, India's third-biggest auto marker will showcase its 1.5 lakh car at the Auto Expo in New Delhi on Jan 10, with a commercial launch planned for later in July 1, 2008.



Tata Motors is likely to win Ford's Jaguar and Land Rover.In an interview to The Times, Tata Motors chief Ratan Tata exuded confidence in his company’s ability to manage a diverse portfolio starting from the Rs. 1 lakh car to British marquees Jaguar and Land Rover, which according to media reports the Indian company is set to acquire.

The petrol engine is reputedly a 624cc unit, producing 33bhp.
It weighs close to the Maruti 800’s 665kg, means similar levels of performance.
The CVT transmission in this car (and a conventional manual transmission).
