Listen Test Transmission of TVM-Mirchi Big-FM S-FM

Three FM Radio Channels started test transmission today at Thiruvananthapuram as mentioned in one of the comment of a previous post. I have uploaded samples for those who are out of range.. Also Mathrubhumi Club FM TVM is on air.

Listen to Radio Mirchi Trivandrum 98.3 MHz Test Transmission .

Download Mirchi

Hear online BigFM Tvm 92.7 MHz .
File Type: mp3
Download Big-FM TVM

Also listen online the Test Transmission of Sun TV S-FM TVM MHz mp3.

Download S-FM TVM

I liked Radio Mirchi. We can't compare during test transmission though... "Sangathi hot aanu" is the punch-line instead of "It's hot".
RJ Anjana sounds similar to Meera Jasmine.

Don't forget to listen to Ananthapuri FM.

(Club FM is transmitting no audio signal as of now.).
CLUB FM Started Test Transmission too. Club FM TVM is on air officially with ads (29th tue). @cochin within weeks.

There were comments in my previous post about FM radio that test transmission of Big fm tvm and mirchi tvm was heard clearly at Kochi with antenna. (due to power/directionality?)

I think the official launch might happen on Feb 14 or so since its valentine's day on Feb 14th :D
Cordless phone and Big FM 92.7 is operating at same frequency :D

I love all 4.

But I have to say, there's a real crazy RJ in Mirchi that keeps raving about TVM. Though I love all the good things he say abt TVM, his voice and the way he says it gets on my nerves.

The media Giants of Kerala: Manorama and Mathrubhumi are disguised with FM radio Stations, to kill their own mother, who had so far been fully responsible for their tremendous growth. As far as private FM stations of Kochi are concerned, the only station which gives some respect to our mother tongue, culture and tradition is SFM even though it emerged from a Tamil based media Giant. Every sensible media person understands that most majority of Malayalees love melodies, and that is why the so called "adipoli" "thattupolippan" songs are rare in Malayalam; that does not mean that media, especially those which earned their living for more than 150 years or so from this language, should go after Tamil and Hindi for catching youngsters. Even the names of programmes such as "puranippattukal" and love bytes must be assaulting for any language lover. The only programme worth mentioning in either of these channels is 'club-diamonds', but the title caption of the channel itself -"Ton Kanakkinu Fun" is outraging. Radio Jockeys such as those for "love bytes" must have been those who in their school and college days were ashamed of knowing this language, but they too are now destined to earn a living from this "primitive" language. How come these two media giants of this very language are competing against each other to exile it from the very hearts of our next generation by pumping out just Tamil and Hindi 'adipoli' songs at majority of its prime timings. The so called national channels of All India Radio never broadcasts non academic programmes in any Indian language other than Hindi. So is the the case of Tamil Channels in Tamil Nadu. Let us not be so conservative, but never allow the camel to oust us from our tent- it our ancestral lore that keeps us alive.
Present situation is that no single channel can confidently be fixed to hear some Malayalam songs. The remote control finds no rest at all. The newly restarted AIR FM rainbow service has much scope: they should not follow the path of private channels- Allow specefic time for other languages, but never mix different language songs giving less than one third chance for Malayalam. However they should upgrade to sterophonic broadcast without delay- Kochi AIR should be ashamed that even Manjeri AIR has stereophonic broadcast.
