UPDATE: The A-Star will be the latest in a series of global models that Suzuki, MSI's Japanese parent, has launched over the past few years and will be manufactured solely in India.

To sell 50000 cars in the India. One-lakh units to be exported. It will be manufactured at its Manesar plant. Maruti claims that according to the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), the A-Star delivers a mileage of 19.59 km per litre.

Maruti A-Star powered by the company's new KB10 998 cc petrol engine and will be rolled out in three variants. The price of Maruti A-star is expected to be Rs 4 lakhs.

6th October 2008.-Tata Motors' Tata Nano will be rolled out on Durga Pooja.
The strategy of Maruti will be

*To reduce price of Maruti 800
*To generate revenue by exporting more cars.
*To produce cars like A-Star and Splash.


*To use Indian advantage in all possible ways...















Since government is not a shareholder of Maruti now I believe Maruti will come up with an open offer soon...
