Fetch email ids from Orkut Mobile Version m.orkut.com

UPDATE 1: Google has fixed this. Email ids are hidden now...

m.orkut.com , the mobile version of Orkut displays email id of all your friends in your orkut profile (and vice versa) . Initially I thought this was a security vulnerability, and orkut help says.

"Can I hide my primary email address on orkut from my friends?
Once you add another orkut user to your friends list, it's not possible to prevent them from seeing your primary email address"



Friends according to google include
  • Scrappers
  • acquaintances
  • best friends
  • family
  • friends
  • good friends
  • haven't met
  • school
  • work
This helps if we want to contact someone via email, since most of the profiles just display Basic Information, relationship status,city, country, occupation in the ordinary browser version...Also, orkut is blocked in majority of Indian IT companies so they are not accessing orkut anymore....

This is very useful but very harmful...Suggest orkut to make primary id private here...
