Infosys results 2007/08 net profit 46.6bln rupees

Infy results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2008 below expectations

The Company has posted a net profit after tax & exceptional items of Rs 11820 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 11240 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 36750 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 43680 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008.

Infosys results for the Year ended March 31, 2008 in line.

The Company has posted a net profit after tax & exceptional items of Rs 44700 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 37830 million for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 135240 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 163310 million for the year ended March 31, 2008.

Infosys board recommended a final dividend of Rs 7.25 per share (145% on an equity share par value Rs 5/-) and a special dividend of Rs 20/- per share (400% on an equity share par value Rs 5/-).
