What: The 14th International Film Festival of Kerala

When: 11th - 18th December 2009.

Where: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India

For:
The Suvarna Chakoram (Golden Crow Pheasant) and the Rajata Chakoram (Silver Crow Pheasant) awards of the festival. The jury will award
(1) Suvarna Chakoram and a cash prize of Rs. 10 lakhs. to the best director and the producer
(2) Rajata Chakoram and a cash prize of Rs. 3 lakhs to the best director and
(3) Rajata Chakoram and a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakhs

This is the first time Expression of Interest for raising sponsorships for the 14th IFFK is being made.This festival is organised by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy
For the Department of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Kerala

Deadline for sending entry form & preview DVD: 30th September 2009 . Competition is only for feature films from Asia, Africa, Latin America.

On the inaugural day a lot of rubbish shows like 'pootham',thira and primitive things are shown. Pl. entrust Soorya Krishnamoorthy or people like that to show something noval.
