Harbhajan Singh banned from IPL for slapping Sreesanth

Match referee Farokh Engineer's hearing over,the verdict is Harbhajan may be able to play the rest of IPL matches only if Mumbai make the semi-finals.

Tournament organizers banned Singh from the rest of the event and fined him his fee for Friday's match.
Banned Harbhajan / Bajji may lose Rs. 3 crore rupees.



"What I did was wrong. Sree is like my younger brother," said Harbhajan.

"I regret my actions that have hurt his feelings. I am very apologetic about the whole incident," added the spinner, who also admitted his actions were "grossly wrong".

"I got punishment for whatever I did," ... "When I come back to play again, I'll bring smiles to your faces" said Bhajji



"Whatever happened and whatever I did was grossly wrong," Singh told the Press Trust of India.

Mohanlal's fire escape magic cancelled

Mohanlal cancelled Kerala Tourism Government sponsored dare devil fire escape stunt "Burning Illusion" due to magicians' rivalry. He was ready to perform fire escape this saturday at Chandrashekharan Nair stadium this saturday... Mohan lal did this once before in dubai and was under Magician Muthukad's training for more than a year...

"I think it's only a simple professional jealousy that's all. But Mohan Lal is a big artist and this is India anybody can learn any art form so Mohan Lal is very much fond of this magic,"Muthukkad.

"If actors and stars like Mohan Lal do these the tricks, the tricks will become public and it will affect those people who earn their livelihood doing such acts," said Samraj, magician. Leading Kerala magician Samrat was arrested Tuesday when he began a hunger strike to dissuade Malayalam film superstar Mohanlal from performing a stunt act scheduled for April 27.

Mohanlal was to perform the act called ‘Burning Illusion’ as a curtain-raiser for a four-day international magicians meet.

Infy results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2008 below expectations

The Company has posted a net profit after tax & exceptional items of Rs 11820 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 11240 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 36750 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 43680 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008.

The Company has posted a net profit after tax & exceptional items of Rs 44700 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 37830 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.
